Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Traffic Design Engineer for our office in Orlando. The successful candidate will have experience in traffic engineering, and preparing work zone traffic control plans, and traffic signal design and timing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include traffic signal design, traffic control plans, signing and pavement marking plans, and transportation and land use reviews.  The Traffic Engineer will also prepare traffic impact studies, assess alternatives, and develop Transportation Management Plans (TMPs) in accordance with local, state and federal policies and requirements. Exposure to project management and budgeting, preparing technical and cost proposals, and understanding of QA/QC procedures is desirable.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in traffic engineering.
  • Proficient with Microstation.
  • Traffic Modeling such as Synchro, HCS or/and Vissim
  • Knowledge of Traffic Impact Studies and development of Traffic Reports.
  • Trip Generation.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • ITS design experience a plus.
