Job Description

Dewberry is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist with 1-4 years’ experience to be located in our Parsippany, NJ office.  The candidate should have some experience with RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, and the CAA regulatory requirements.  The candidate should be capable of supporting complex environmental audits, prepare regulatory plans, prepare permit applications, and perform regulatory negotiations.  The candidate should have good communication skills (verbal and written).

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Works in a timely fashion to meets project, client and/or regulatory deadlines and project budgets.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • Composes technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication such as email.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to work long hours and be on call to accommodate the second (and third shifts), if necessary
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written) with team building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Science, or related field.
