Job Description

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level CAD Designer in our Parsippany, NJ office to assist with a wide range of challenging projects. This is an opportunity for an individual to join a team of energetic, highly engaged professionals. The ideal candidate will have a prominent role on our team, strong communication skills, and a desire to work collaboratively with Project Engineers in the design and production of contract documents for various projects related to civil engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans, sections, and detailed layout drawings for an array of civil engineering projects 
  • Assist in the production of contract drawing submittals while interfacing and coordinating with various engineering disciplines, technicians, and other design specialists;
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • High School diploma required.
  • Completion of Engineering Technology Associate’s or 4-year degree in an engineering field of study is strongly preferred.
  • Previous internship experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability with current versions AutoCADD, and AutoCADD-Civil 3D; 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to apply theories, principles, concepts and practices of civil engineering 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be a self-starter who is detail-oriented
