Dewberry’s Construction Services Office is seeking Resident Engineers with a NY PE License and 7 to 12 years experience as a Resident Engineer specifically including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, NYCDOT, TBTA, MTA, NYSDOT or NYS Thruway projects. Excellent communications and client relations skills with are a must with the ability to manage a large staff of field personnel and work as a team player.  

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs detailed phases of resident engineering and inspection services
  • Reviews shop drawings for conformance with project plans and site conditions
  • Reviews construction procedures submitted by contractors for conformance with project plans
  • Acts as technical liaison for the owner between contractor and design engineering personnel
  • Oversee the work of inspectors and office engineers and assign tasks
  • Plans and coordinates aspects of work 
  • Prepares scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments
  • Assists with proposals to provide professional services

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • 7 to 12 years’ experience as a Resident Engineer specifically including NYCDDC, NYCDEP, NYCDOT, TBTA, MTA, NYSDOT or NYS Thruway projects. 
  • NY PE License required
  • Excellent communications and client relations skills
  • Must have the ability to manage a large staff of field personnel and work as a team player.
