Dewberry is currently seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager in Charlotte, NC. Knowledge of the Energy Infrastructure market is a plus. The candidate will be responsible for management and design of site/civil projects in the power industry with a focus on electric transmission and distribution. Responsibilities include developing and managing project budgets and schedules and leading project teams in permitting, engineering, and construction activities.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • North Carolina PE is required.
  • 6+ years of site/civil design and consulting experience.  Focus in the energy/power market a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge and experience managing electric transmission and distribution projects preferred.
  • Stormwater management design experience, in compliance with NC DEQ regulations, preferred.
  • Experience with the zoning and the conditional/special use permitting process.
  • Experience in addressing Planning Commission and Boards of Supervisors.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with the possibility for simultaneously occurring milestones and deadlines.
