Dewberry is seeking an energetic Graduate Architect to join our Fairfax, VA office. Internship experience in Dewberry project types including Healthcare, Justice, Municipal, Public Safety, and Government is desirable.  Must have a professional degree, Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture degree from an accredited university.  Individuals who have started the IDP process to become licensed are preferred. Candidate must be proficient in MS Office and demonstrate strong REVIT expertise.

Responsibilities

This position works under close supervision of a PA/PM.  Receives specific and detailed instructions regarding tasks.  Performs work efforts in a timely and complete manner.  Takes the initiative to either work out or research a work effort.  Understands his/her capabilities and when to seek help from mentors.  Has skills in performing renderings and other design functions.  Has a strong understanding of CADD and other project design and graphic software.   Qualified candidates should exhibit strong organizational, conceptual design, and good oral and written communication skills. Candidates should also possess a positive attitude, an outstanding work ethic and be team-oriented.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Professional degree of either a Bachelor of Architecture or Masters of Architecture from an accredited University is required.
  • Internship experience working in an architectural firm is a plus.
  • Intern Development Program (IDP) process started to obtain future licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience with REVIT, Photoshop and Microsoft Office. 
  • Digital and traditional rendering abilities and graphic experience a plus
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
  • A portfolio demonstrating experience will be required.
