Senior Highway Engineer/Project Manager


Dewberry is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer/Project Manager to serve the vital function of positioning the company as the leader in the transportation and highway market. We are looking to increase the visibility of our experienced transportation and highway group in Eastern and Central PA. The team player we seek must have a BS/MS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering, a PA PE license, and 15+ years of experience working on PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising staff and document production, monitoring budgets and schedules, marketing new projects, preparing proposals, and interfacing regularly with clients. Project management consulting experience, in-depth background in the design of highways and roads, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must have the ability to market and sell services, lead and manage engineering staff on multiple projects, and be extremely profit and growth oriented. The ability to manage and supervise design teams and interact well with client management teams is essential. MicroStation and InRoads experience is required. Experience with other software utilized in the design of highways is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all staff necessary to complete assignments.
  • Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Prepares proposals to provide professional services.
  • May partake in personnel actions

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in PA
  • 15+ years experience in highway design
  • Horizontal and vertical alignments,
  • Drainage design,
  • Erosion and sediment pollution control design,
  • Stormwater management design,
  • Pavement design,
  • Traffic engineering
  • Experience with MicroStation and InRoads
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
