Dewberry is currently seeking a structural engineer intern for the structural department in our New York, NY office to work on a variety of projects for clients within the commercial and government sector.  This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals, and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help our clients solve their most challenging problems. Typical projects involve performing structural analysis and design, preparing reports and drawings, and performing condition inspections of bridges and tunnels.

 

Responsibilities

  • Preparing structural calculations, reports, drawings and estimates.
  • Performing structural condition inspections.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • 0-1years experience.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam is a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Previous internship or entry-level experience preferred.
  • Previous steel and concrete design and analysis experience preferred.
