Dewberry is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager with a strong background in heavy rail freight and commuter track design, knowledge of AREMA Standards, freight and commuter rail system planning to join our team of professionals in our Tulsa office. The candidate will be responsible for leading track design projects with our Class I, Class III, commuter, and industrial rail clients, as well as, other transportation-related infrastructure improvements. Additional responsibilities will include supervising project team members, developing clear concise Contract Documents, achieving budgets and schedules, and interfacing regularly with clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a key member of the Dewberry team that grows the company’s rail business.
Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in specific area.
Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields and ability to function on smaller multidisciplinary teams.
Works on projects of various sizes, from large Class I Rail Yard expansions to small Industrial rail spurs.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineering license in Oklahoma, additional states a plus.
5 to 8 years of increasing levels of design experience and client interaction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of preparing technical reports and business development proposals.
Knowledge of MicroStation, InRoads, and ProjectWise software.
Ability to identify and initiate business development activities without prompting.
Commitment to lead, coach and mentor junior staff.
