Dewberry seek a full-time Entry Level Technical Editor to join our Parsippany, NJ office. This role involves editing and reviewing environmental technical reports and documents in a manner that meets our corporate standards, and those of the agencies that we support. The successful candidate will be organized and have a passion for quality.


  • Edit report text and citations to the highest standards of accuracy and consistency, and in accordance with Dewberry’s style guide
  • Adopt and implement custom, project-specific style requirements
  • Summarize technical and scientific documents in plain language, collaborating with authors to resolve content problems
  • Compile and maintain accurate acronyms and abbreviations
  • Format and publish documents from Word and InDesign, and in accordance with Dewberry’s style guide
  • Manage competing demands from multiple deadlines

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS or BA in applicable field with a minimum of 0-3 years experience
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word (expert), Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat
  • Previous experience working in a professional services or consulting firm, or in the environmental or engineering industry, preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) strongly preferred
  • Ability to work overtime when needed
  • Professionalism when dealing with executives, clients, and project teams including the ability to work on deadline
