Water/Wastewater Pipeline/Conveyance Engineer:

 

Dewberry is currently seeking a Civil Engineer to execute municipal water and wastewater pipeline / conveyance projects in our Denver, CO office.  This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals.  This position offers potential for professional growth in a great working environment and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help our clients solve their most challenging problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design all aspects of water and wastewater pipeline and conveyance for both new construction, assessment, and rehabilitation/replacement projects
  • Develop, evaluate, and prepare construction drawings and specifications
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members
  • Meet and correspond with clients
  • Client marketing support
  • Perform engineering calculations for water/wastewater projects

Required Skills & Required Experience

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado or acquiring the State of Colorado Professional Engineer license within one year of employment
  • Design experience with water and wastewater pipeline / conveyance projects
  • Experience understanding pipeline hydraulics, construction, and operations
  • Experience with hydraulic modeling and ArcGIS is a plus
  • Experience with jurisdictional and regulatory permitting is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be highly motivated and willing to work overtime
