Dewberry is currently seeking a Landscape Architect Intern for the summer of 2018 to join our site/civil department in our Orlando, FL office to work on a variety of projects for clients. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals. The Landscape Architect will work collaboratively in a team setting on the development of conceptual designs, the production of construction drawings and permitting as well as on-site construction administration.  Candidate must be highly motivated and a self-starter.  Projects will include a wide range of landscape projects associated with site/civil projects and transportation including: gateways, buffers, interchanges, residential, and commercial design; streetscapes, entry features as well as private sector development projects and federal, state and local government projects. 




  • Site/civil development including grading design
  • Prepare detailed landscape and hardscape plans
  • Prepare layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential
  • Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications
  • Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • May also conduct code research, write specifications, and
    coordinate permitting

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Previous internship experience is a preferred.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft office is required.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator,
    GIS/ArcView and Power Point.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work in a team environment.


Portfolio or work samples will be required if considered for an interview.
