    Dewberry is currently seeking a Crew Chief to perform a variety of tasks associated with land surveying and civil engineering in our Sarasota, FL office. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a collaborative team and work with the latest technology to make a difference.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform Boundary and Topographic Surveys for Land Development projects
    • Knowledge of transmission line surveys is a plus
    • Assisting with survey computations and field data collection as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • A minimum of 2 years of prior survey experience working in the surveying industry
    • Able to operate a total station and RTK GPS
    • Familiarity with construction plans and right of way maps
    • Excellent communication, work ethic, and must be reliable
    • Ability to work remotely under rigorous conditions when needed
    • Must manage a field crew and work independently as a one man crew as required

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to work out of town, flexible with work area
    • Must posses and maintain a valid driver’s license in order to operate company vehicle
    • Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening
    • Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs.; including equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to standing for long periods of time on varied surfaces
