Dewberry is currently seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail oriented individual to join our Land Surveying department in the Orlando, FL area as a Survey Technician/Entry Level Surveyor. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment as a member of a survey department assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transmission line, transportation, utility and construction surveys.  The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required.


  • Assist Party Chief as directed to conduct land surveys.
  • Maintain surveying equipment and survey vehicle inventory.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports and other functions as required
  • Assist the survey manager with all aspects field crew preparation.
  • Process field collection files and database maintenance.
  • Prepare as-built, boundary, topographic, tree & utility survey deliverables.




Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Geomatics or related field is required.
  • Must have good Mathematical skills.
  • Must have AutoCAD or Microstation /Geopak computer skills.
  • Knowledge of EFB, Caice and TDS Survey-Pro a plus.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be dependable.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must pass DOT drug/alcohol testing and ability to pass a background check.
  • Must be willing and able to travel for out of town work.Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
  • Ability to repetitively stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability  to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
