Dewberry is currently seeking an Environmental Scientist with at least 10 -15 years of experience for our Raleigh, NC office. The primary duties of this position are to complete wetland and stream delineations and to prepare reports summarizing natural resource surveys for transportation and site/civil projects. The preferred candidate should have the Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification, but candidates with comparable experience will be considered. Experience in federal and North Carolina environmental permitting a plus, and experience with ArcGIS is preferred. The Scientist must be flexible, client focused and capable of working independently under the supervision of project managers. The work required of the Scientist is diverse and ranges from general field support to technical work that requires strong communication skills and knowledge of MS Office tools. The Scientist may also support proposal preparation, contract execution, and budget/schedule adherence as needed.
