    Dewberry is currently seeking a Project Architect to work in the Peoria, IL or Elgin, IL office.

    Responsibilities

     

    The Architecture Practice is seeking a proactive licensed Project Architect to join our talented staff.  The ideal candidate must be client focused, with an ability to collaborate and communicate with Principals, Project Managers and Junior Design Staff.  Technical proficiency and an ability to develop and maintain design intent throughout all project phases is necessary.  As part of a team, you will work on a variety of project types and be instrumental in the growth and development of the office. 



    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • Illinois-licensure, LEED AP required.
    • Experience working with public agencies, including Cities and Counties, preferred
    • Responsible for leading small project teams and developing detailed design and construction documents
    • Responsible to develop specifications and perform material, product selection and research.
    • Able to perform code analysis, due diligence and feasibility studies.
    • Collaborate with Principals, Project Managers and Design Staff throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Responsible for development and monitoring of scope, schedule and budget on architectural aspects of projects.
    • Responsible for developing architectural work plans and tasking, supervision and mentoring of assigned project personnel.
    • Participation in Construction Administration for assigned projects.
    • Proficiency in use of MS Office, CADD and REVIT programs.
    • Participate in the firm’s Quality Control Process.
    • Perform other related work as apparent or assigned
    • A professional degree in Architecture and a minimum of 7 years of experience is required.
