    Dewberry is currently seeking a Program Manager to join our California Transportation team to work on a variety of projects for clients. Position may be based in our Long Beach, CA or Sacramento, CA office and will require some travel between those locations. The Program Manager will serve as project manager and client contact for rail and other planning projects, with responsibility for overseeing project schedule and budget and supervising the work of Dewberry staff and subconsultants. This person will also assist with the development of project proposals and letters of interest and assist in other marketing efforts as necessary. 


     

    Responsibilities

    Qualified candidates must have the ability to manage and coordinate assignments with a multi-disciplinary team, coordinate with state and federal regulatory agencies as well as operating railroads, and evaluate operational benefits of rail projects. Additional experience in preparation or negotiation of railroad operating agreements is a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • BS or BA Degree in Public Administration, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, or related field.
    • 10+ yrs of experience in capital project planning and delivery for railroad projects.
    • Established working relationships with U.S. Class I railroads.
    • Knowledge of California and Federal transportation policies, regulations, and interagency agreements.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
