Dewberry is seeking a Project Administrator (PA) responsible for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services related to FDOT projects in north Florida. The position may be based in any of our established north Florida offices; Panama City, Pensacola, Port St Joe or Santa Rosa Beach. This is an excellent opportunity with a strong group of certified inspectors on staff and readily available to support the Project Administrator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for CEI project administration and management of FDOT projects. As the PA, this person will function as the primary daily manager of FDOT construction contracts, responsible for taking ownership of the entire project completion process from planning and conducting the pre-construction conference to final acceptance. These responsibilities include monitoring project construction progress by supervising and receiving pay item data from inspection staff, then developing both monthly and final estimate payment packages. The PA is also responsible for taking the lead to analysis and solve project construction issues, as they arise. With the support of the entire CEI team, the PA will take the lead in crafting supplement agreements and work orders per FDOT criteria. With the support of the Contract Support Specialist, the PA will be responsible for reviewing inspection Daily Work Reports, approving estimates, utilizing FDOT Site Manager and Materials Acceptance Certification systems, and writing monthly FDOT status reports. The PA will be the primary contract with the FDOT Project Manager, and thereby, will represent Dewberry by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships with Department, so future pursuits can be won.
High school diploma required.
Advanced MOT certification.
FDOT/CTQP Final Estimates II.
FDOT/CTQP QC Manager certification.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Administrator, Senior Inspector, or Project Engineer for FDOT CEI projects.
Ability to supervise and manage support staff.
Ability to interpret roadway and bridge plans, specifications, and contracts.
