    Dewberry is currently seeking an exceptional full- time candidate to serve as a Water Resources Project Engineer in our Parsippany, NJ office for water resource projects including site design support, stormwater management, water and wastewater engineering. Candidates will be working with private clients, local municipalities, public utilities, and other governmental agencies providing a wide variety of engineering design support, preparation of technical design documents, reports, plans, specifications, as well as regulatory permitting applications.


    • Work is diverse and ranges from site design, utilities, water resources, water and wastewater engineering design duties to technical work that requires strong capabilities in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
    • Previous experience and working knowledge of various design and modeling software such as Bentley StormCAD, WaterGEMs and/or PondPack is required
    • The Project Engineer will also be required to learn and become proficient in Dewberry engineering practices and standards, and other Dewberry-specific software programs.

    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • BS Degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
    • 2 to 5-years related design experience. 
    • EIT required, PE a plus
    • Experience with design of sewer collection, conveyance, pumping, water distribution, transmission, utilities, permitting and general civil infrastructure
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic MS Office software
    • Meets project and client deadlines.
    • Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
    • Prepares graphics, exhibits, and construction plans.
    • Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review agency staff.
    • Composes technical reports, memorandums and other written communication such as email.
    • Handles multiple concurrent projects.
