Under an open-end A/E technical assistance contract, Dewberry is providing field assessments, engineer evaluations inspections of damaged public infrastructure, cost estimates, mitigation project evaluation, debris monitoring, environmental services, and design services on an on-call basis in the wake of natural and man-made disasters, including acts of terrorism on behalf of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) throughout the United States including the Caribbean and Pacific territories.
Dewberry is currently searching for highly qualified Civil Engineers for our on-call team. Candidates selected must be U.S. citizens and able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation, to include financial and criminal history. Successful candidates must be able to commit to a minimum 6-12 month assignment in remote locations working in excess of 50 hours per week.
Selected Civil Engineers will travel to disaster-impacted locations to support FEMA in the delivery of the Public Assistance Program. They will assist local government agencies and other Program-eligible entities in the preparation of grant applications for the restoration of damaged public infrastructure to include roads, bridges, buildings and utilities. The work includes site assessments of disaster-damaged infrastructure, documenting damages and restoration scopes of work, and formulating cost estimates.
