    Dewberry is seeking a Structural (Bridge) Engineer with 5+ years of bridge design experience to work in our Raleigh, NC office. The successful candidate will provide design and quality control of construction documents for simple and complex bridges, primarily of steel and concrete construction (both pre-stressed and post-tensioned), and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, sign and toll gantry structures, and other miscellaneous structures).  The candidate will be involved in all phases of structural project development including planning, scheduling, inspection as required, analysis, design, technical specifications, reports and post design services. Experience with NC DOT design standards and current state of practice such as accelerated bridge construction and prefabricated bridge elements are preferred.

    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • BS in Civil Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
    • North Carolina PE license is required or ability to obtain within 1 year.
    • 5-10 years of experience working on bridge transportation projects.
    • Working knowledge of NCDOT Standards, Specifications & Guidelines preferred.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Desire to work in a team environment.
