    Responsibilities

    • The Project Engineer will be responsible for Utility engineering business solutions. This individual will collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to develop unique solutions for our clients.  The successful candidate will assist with projects involving Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Enterprise Content management (ECM), Business solutions needs assessments, Business process workflows and assist in conducting solution discovery workshops while documenting the finding to produce reports. We’ve highlighted a few of your exciting responsibilities.
    • Documenting and enhancing processes and requirements; identifying and selecting technology tools; assist in developing and deploying EAM & ECM systems; and providing ongoing support and transformational assistance.
    • Developing strategies, methods and tools used to capture, manage, store, preserve and deliver Asset data content and documents.
    • Identify and present the business benefits of ECM, following industry standard frameworks to evaluate existing systems and procedures.
    • Assist in the analysis, planning, documentation, execution, implementation, and monitoring of EAM and ECM implementations and technology components.

     

    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
    • 3-5 years of professional experience, specifically in utility engineering.
    • Successful completion of the FE Exam (EI / EIT) require
    • 1+ years of experience on EAM / ECM projects
    • 1+ Years of professional work experience in Geographic Information Systems
    • Knowledge, interest, and project experience in GIS (ArcGIS 9 or higher) applications
    • Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft office
    • Must be willing to travel; some travel may be required

     

    SET YOURSELF APART: Preferred Skills

     

    Demonstrate knowledge in EAM, ECM, Records Management, or Business Process Management, including the following:

    • Current knowledge of standards, strategies, governance, evaluation and selection of content management solutions
    • Experience conducting current state-to-future state gap analyses against strategy and technology;
    • Functional knowledge with one or more ECM Platforms, including: IBM FileNet, Microsoft SharePoint.
    • Functional Knowledge with one or more EAM Platfors, Including CMMS Systems such as IBM Maximo, Lucity, Cityworks.
    • Knowledge of Relational databases MS- Access, SQL- Server,
    • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Knowledge of Application architecture, design, and development by creating or contributing to architecture solutions, design documents and guides;

    Demonstrate ability with the following software on projects related to enterprise content management:

    • Microsoft SharePoint 2007 & 2010
    • IBM FileNet
    • EAM/ ECM solutions
    • Microsoft Project.
    • Microsoft Office.
    • ESRI ArcGIS 10.x

    Demonstrate ability to prepare, document and present concise, accurate documents and reports with attention to business writing and grammar, including:

    • Analyzing information and solving problems
    • Reviewing formal written reports and presenting ideas to small or large groups.

    Demonstrate ability as a project team member, including:

    • Understanding personal and team roles;
    • Contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members;
    • Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback;
    • Providing guidance, clarification and feedback to fellow team members.

     

    Demonstrate ability identifying and addressing client needs through actively participating in client discussions and meetings; conducting client interviews to gather data and summarize findings; understanding and communicating a broad range of services; and managing expectations, including preparing concise and accurate documents.
