    Dewberry is seeking a Senior Transportation/Roadway Project Manager for our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a top Transportation Design firm. We are seeking a candidate that will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our transportation practice in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Candidates must have prior roadway design and project management experience, ideally with NCDOT. In addition, candidates should have the ability to take the initiative, the ability to work in a team environment, and enjoy fast-paced projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Serving as lead designer for a variety of project types.
    • Leading project teams as a project manager or task manager.
    • Preparing specifications, cost estimates, reports, and bid packages.
    • Conducting field reviews and site visits.
    • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
    • Supervising  staff.
    • Monitoring budgets and schedules.
    • Assisting with the marketing of new projects.
    • Assisting the marketing coordinator with the preparation of proposals.
    • Interfacing regularly with clients.
    • Participating on value engineering studies.
    • Providing quality control reviews.

    Required Skills & Required Experience

    • BS degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
    • Minimum 6 years of roadway design experience.
    • NC PE license, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Experience with AASHTO design standards, NCDOT Roadway Design Manual, and NCDOT Standards and Specifications.
    • Proficient with Microstation Geopak and Corridor Modeling.
    • Open Roads Designer experience is a plus.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
