Dewberry's Richmond, VA office is seeking a Civil Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility. Our growing, fast-paced site/civil engineering practice seeks a client focused, highly motivated, organized engineer. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the design of a wide variety of site/civil projects, with initial focus on Land Development in the Energy Division. The types of Energy Projects anticipated are linear (overhead and underground transmission and distribution) as well as site (substation). Tasks will include permitting, site layout and development, grading and erosion control, drainage and stormwater management design, development of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and public outreach. Knowledge of local and state laws and proven ability regarding site development drawing production required. Extensive coordination and meetings with the Client are anticipated to meet project requirements, scope, and need.
