Dewberry has an opportunity for a CAD Designer Intern to join our Civil/Land Development Group in our Orlando, FL office and participate on the Civil Design team working with engineers, project managers, and other professionals. This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation of residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. Work activities may include; grading, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, and redline drafting for conceptual, preliminary, and final design drawings.
High school diploma required. AA in CAD in progress preferred.
0-2 years of experience as a CADD designer (AutoCad 3D or Microstation) with civil emphasis.
Experience using Civil 3D, and/or Geopak to create surfaces, alignments and profiles is preferred.
Willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project managers.
Strong interest in all phases of Civil Engineering including land development, utilities, water resources, and construction.
High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed.
