The Fairfax, VA office of Dewberry is currently seeking a Traffic Engineer with a BS in Civil Engineering. Primary responsibilities will be traffic engineering design development and studies related to traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, work zone traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and traffic operational analyses. Candidate will be part of Dewberry's growing transportation engineering practice involved in a wide variety of projects in the mid-Atlantic region. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of traffic engineering experience on VDOT and/or design-build projects. Applicants must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively in groups.
Responsibilities include design and plan production for various traffic related tasks as noted above. The Candidate will also prepare design and cost estimates, monitor project schedules and meet with clients, as needed.
