Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join our Structures department in our Raleigh, NC office. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join a team of outstanding professionals. This position offers tremendous potential for professional growth in a great working environment and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help our clients solve their most challenging problems. Typical projects involve structural design of educational facilities, institutional buildings, office buildings, health care facilities, military facilities, utility structures, water and waste water treatment structures, and structural evaluations of existing buildings.


  • Analysis and design of structural components
  • Production of structural construction drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Construction Administration support including project site visits and shop drawing reviews

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • MS Degree in Civil Engineering, with focus in Structural Engineering, preferred

  • 0-2 years of experience; Previous internship experience preferred.

  • Ability to analyze and design reinforced concrete and structural steel members

  • Ability to use structural modeling software

  • Technical writing

  • Time management

  • Preferred software proficiency

  • AutoCAD

  • Revit

  • RAM Structural System

  • STAAD or RAM Elements

  • MS Office

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment.
