The Richmond office of Dewberry is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to work with our Telecommunications Department.  Our telecommunications engineering department seeks a client focused, highly motivated, organized, outgoing, and aggressive engineer looking to make an immediate impact while developing project management and technical experience.

Job entails conducting field data collection, preparing wireless facility designs with the team, coordinating all design aspects with a team, tracking the progress of projects, and construction control and inspection.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS in Civil Engineering is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Telecommunications and/or Civil engineering.
  • Work with Professional Engineers to perform engineering design on telecom projects to develop engineering skills. Phases of design work include conceptual, zoning documentation and construction level plans.
  • F.E. preferred with P.E. track expected.
  • Field work to gather existing conditions information and perform construction inspections.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members & sub consultants.
  • Composes technical reports, memorandums and other written communication.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projects with varying teams.  
  • Interest in adding skill sets outside of civil engineering including project management, geotechnical, electrical, and mechanical.



Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
