Dewberry is currently seeking a Project Manager-Architect to work in our Tulsa, OK office.

This strategic hire for Dewberry’s Oklahoma Architecture Practice is an opportunity for the right individual to leverage their business development, client/project management, and design skills to be an integral component for the office’s growth. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who wants to utilize a diverse skill set and is ready to take on the challenges of continuing to grow this part of the Dewberry practice.  The right individual will be responsible to manage an established roster of high-profile Healthcare, Education and Public Safety clients.  Our national presence allows the opportunity to engage in projects throughout the country.  This office was established in 1962 and has a solid reputation with over 90% of our work being from repeat clients.  We have a diverse staff with experience ranging from one to forty years, with more than 50% being registered.  Our Tulsa office has a small close knit group of individuals that are engaged in our community but at the same time reap the benefits of being a part of a top 50 ENR ranked firm.

Responsibilities

We are looking for:

  • 10 + years of experience, with a diverse portfolio of institutional, public and private sector work.
  • Licensed Architect in Oklahoma or with-in 1 year of obtaining an Architectural licensed is required.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Blue Beam, Microsoft Office, and Google SketchUp is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and positively engage with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships that encourages repeat opportunities.
  • Collaborative approach to all aspects of the practice.
  • Provide design input for your projects and assist in capturing design intent in final documents..
  • Working knowledge of local code requirements and ability to efficiently interface with agencies having jurisdiction, including Office of the State Fire Marshall, and others.
  • Confident and effective interpersonal and time prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable participating in Business Development and marketing activities.
  • Able to develop scope / fees and manage the project to budget.
  • Understand invoicing and preparing contracts and consultant agreements.
  • Responsible for managing project team(s); advises Principal in Charge/ Business Unit Manager of resource and schedule needs.
  • Develops proposals with assistance of PIC(s) and/or Business Unit Manager; Participates in client interviews and development of marketing collateral.
  • Reviews and assist in document accuracy through the Dewberry Quality Assurance Program for client(s), consultant(s) and project team(s).

Required Skills & Required Experience

How will you do this?

  • Work closely with the Office Leadership to continue to diversify and expand the Company and office Portfolio.
  • Work closely with Clients, managing relationships and day-to-day individual project needs.
  • Work closely with internal Teams to conceptualize, design and produce project documentation.
  • Participate with the Business Development and Marketing Directors in activities, including RFPs and Interview.
  • Work directly with new & existing Clients to develop and maintain robust relationships, including day-to-day Project Management for key project.
  • Supervise internal teams for all phases of the project.
  • Maintain project budgets, work plans, and schedules through all phases. 

 

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to pass a driving record background check.
