Job Description

Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office is currently seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer for designing building, facilities, and infrastructure-type structures.  This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to work with outstanding professionals.  The Individual will perform structural analysis, design, modeling, calculations, and plan production.  Types of projects would include design, renovation, and/or repairs to industrial, school facilities, higher education facilities, office buildings, commercial buildings, water and wastewater structures,  civil/site structures, and perform structural forensics/condition assessments.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will work on a wide variety of projects including schools, health care centers, higher education facilities, office buildings, industrial buildings, commercial buildings, structural evaluations, civil/site structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Individuals will perform complex building analysis on all design phases, structural modeling, structural calculations, and plan production.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural focus. 
  • Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred).
  • FE (EIT) certificate required.
  • Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Experience using structural software such as RAM, RAM Elements, STAAD, Enercalc, TEDDS, or Tekla is preferred.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
