Responsibilities

  • Develop roadway geometrics and prepare detailed plans for the construction of safe and efficient roadways and highways based on applicable design criteria and specifications 
  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents 
  • Oversee the completion and accuracy of work performed by EIT’s and Designers and serve as Deputy Project Manager on assigned projects 
  • Potentially serve as the Engineer-of-Record on minor projects 
  • Provide engineering support for projects in construction 
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members, subconsultants, and clients 
  • Develop and present design solutions during internal project meetings and participate in external meetings with clients 
  • Assist with the development of marketing and project pursuit materials 

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline 
  • 4+ years of progressive experience working on FDOT or similar public agency projects 
  • FL PE license or ability to obtain in one year. 
  • A strong background in roadway design, preferably in Florida 
  • Proficiency with Microstation Open Roads Designer 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and complete work in a timely fashion to meet project schedules 
  • Strong desire to be a key contributor in an outstanding team of industry-leading professionals
