Job Description

Dewberry has an immediate opening for a full-time Senior Bridge Engineer in our Raleigh or Charlotte, NC office. This is an excellent career opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join and lead an established team of professionals in North Carolina. The successful candidate will lead a team of other professionals and provide design and quality control of construction documents for simple and complex bridges, primarily of steel and concrete construction (both pre-stressed and post-tensioned), and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, sign and toll gantry structures, and other miscellaneous structures).  The candidate will also be responsible for project management of bridge design projects, manage schedules and budgets and marketing of structural services and client interface in North Carolina.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
  • North Carolina PE license is required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 15-25 years of progressive experience working on bridge transportation projects.
  • Working knowledge of NCDOT Standards, Specifications & Guidelines preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
