Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate and work within multi-disciplined teams for the planning, evaluation and design of water and wastewater system improvements, including pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, and small community water and wastewater treatment facilities.

  • Prepare plans, specifications, reports, studies and other documents for water and wastewater projects such as force mains, water mains, sanitary sewers, pump stations, treatment plants.
  • Provide technical support on challenging projects that may include water and wastewater design, hydraulic design, report writing, permitting, technical studies, field support and construction management.
  • Lead and direct the day-to-day technical development of stormwater projects or water and wastewater projects including supply, treatment, pumping systems, storage, collection and distribution systems from planning and design through construction. 
  • Provide solutions to our municipal and private sector clients, including water /wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, conveyance, impoundments, stormwater systems, and general civil-site design for municipal clients. 
  • Interface with clients during development of the work product and be accountable for project development and client satisfaction.
  • Reviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed, and quality is acceptable.

 

 

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • 5 or more years of experience in water/wastewater analysis, stormwater projects, design, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Florida PE License is required.
  • Specific experience for municipal water and wastewater system projects such as preparing reports, performing calculations, preparing design documents, and performing construction services for pipeline/pump station/plant projects preferred
  • Project management or deputy project management or design team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience coordinating engineering and interfacing with other disciplines, as needed.
  • Experience interfacing with clients.
