Dewberry has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager/Program Manager for the Telecommunications Group based out of our Richmond, VA office.  The leadership role will focus on engaging new and existing clients in the telecommunications market segment, leveraging our local and national engineering capabilities.  The successful candidate will have technical, project/program management, and client facing responsibilities to lead design projects and perform program management functions.  We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong drive to lead a team focused on these markets in the private and/or public sector.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with program management managing large scale wireless programs.
  • Developing client and pursuit plans aimed at growth of our telecommunication market segment consistent with our national strategy.
  • Engaging new and existing clients to position Dewberry for growth opportunities leveraging our national portfolio of experience and expertise.
  • Making recommendations on opportunities to pursue and leading an effective go/no-go decision process.
  • Providing leadership and operational management of national programs.   
  • Managing local and geographically dispersed teams of professionals to position, win, and deliver top quality programs with excellent client service.
  • Managing project financials, schedules, resource allocations.
  • Participating in development of growth strategies and sales goals; drive achievement of sales targets consistent with growth expectations.
  • Elevating Dewberry’s brand by maintaining high visibility and actively participating in professional and industry organizations.
  • Assembling and leading client and project teams in support of client needs and growth of the practice.
  • Overseeing proposal and client interview efforts and marketing support teams.
  • Developing partnerships with subconsultants and other service providers to assemble winning proposal teams.
  • Negotiating appropriate scope and fee to deliver projects meeting client expectations for quality and schedule.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Minimum 20 years of directly related experience in the telecommunications market segment. 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple project assignments concurrently.
  • Ability to work and interact with clients, maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise to design staff.
  • Desire to work in a team environment.
  • Strong program management skills utilizing schedule software, as well as Microsoft Office programs.
  • Establish a network of marketing, business development, and leaders across Dewberry’s geographies to help drive growth of the practice
  • Accumulate, organize, and share pertinent qualifications, experience, and marketing collateral across the market segments.
  • Support business development and operational personnel in market research, competitor analysis, and client intelligence
  • Ability to travel on a limited basis for business development and to visit branch offices.
  • Familiarity with business accounting practices and evaluating project financials.
