Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Staff Environmental Scientist with 3-5 years of experience to support our Northeast Environmental team. The position will perform a variety of environmental research and reporting functions in support of environmental analysis assignments.. The Staff Environmental Scientist must be flexible, client focused and capable of working independently under the supervision of project managers. The work required is diverse and ranges from general data analysis and interpretation to technical work that requires strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Practice Leads and Management.
  • Composes technical reports, memorandums and other written communication such as email, technical studies and memoranda.
  • Handles multiple concurrent projects.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.
  • Meets project, client and regulatory deadlines.
  • Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
  • Working knowledge of NEPA and state environmental regulations and guidance a must.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microstation and/or ArcGIS, Bentley software products a plus.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $71,313 to $91,688 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
