Dewberry is currently seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join our West Region Marketing team! This hybrid position is based in Rancho Cordova, CA, at 11060 White Rock Road, Suite 200. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in the A/E/C industry.   

The Marketing Coordinator will play a vital role within our West Marketing Team, supporting local offices in marketing efforts, and collaborating regularly with colleagues. Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal process through the support and creation of SOQs and Proposals including: 
  • Review RFQs/RFPs and develop detailed outlines and schedules to thoroughly respond to client requirements 
  • Design and produce compelling proposal layouts.  
  • Establish and maintai proposal schedules and compliance checklists. 
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with project managers and technical staff to verify proposals, meet quality standards and adhere to deadlines. 
  • Review, write, and edit non-technical content by partnering with technical staff to draft project descriptions, and staff bios. 
  • Coordinate with sub-consultant firms for teaming arrangements and gathering marketing materials. 
  • Facilitate print/electronic production process for timely submission of proposals to various clients in state and local agencies. 
  • Assist with the development of interview presentations and associated graphics 
  • Occasionally prepare and develop high-quality marketing materials and collateral, including presentations, leave-behinds, and other promotional items to support various initiatives such as project award submissions. 
  • Maintain and update information in the customer relationship management (CRM) database (e.g. Deltek Vision) on an ongoing basis. 
  • Maintain and update the marketing library, including master resumes, project descriptions, and various writing resources. 

Ideal Competencies 

  • Strong understanding of AEC industry standards, terminology, and key players. 
  • Write, proofread, and edit non-technical content to communicate the firm's capabilities effectively. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive approach to tasks. 
  • Effective coordination skills, eager to take initiative on tasks with attention to detail and deadlines.  
  • Ability to maintain ownership and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams including technical staff, leadership, external partners, and marketing team. 
  • Experience with state/local proposal formats.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • 3 years of experience personally developing and producing proposals for the A/E/C industry.
  • BA or BS in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communications, English, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Customer relationship management (CRM) database experience is also desired.  
  • Ability to work within InDesign templates and comply with our corporate standards to present a consistent appearance/style.
  • Ability to manage time appropriately. The ideal candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime as necessary to meet business requirements and deadlines.

Salary Range

  • The projected range for this position is $28-$36 hourly ($65,000-$76,000 annually). Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. We are hiring at all levels, and we encourage all candidates to apply.
