Dewberry is currently seeking to empower a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to act as a Senior Project Manager or Design Manager for private and public clients in New York City. The intent is to make a sizeable investment to hire this person, expand our MEP group to support their practice and for this individual to propel the group to winning more and larger-scale MEP design and design-build facility engineering projects.

This individual will deliver projects in a fast growing MEP department. The candidate will be responsible for the technical design and management of complex, multidisciplinary MEP projects that have a construction value of $100,000-$75MM. Candidates should have at least 10+ years of experience. Technical duties will include mechanical/HVAC engineering design, supervising and mentoring staff engineers and CAD drafters using AutoCAD and building information modeling (BIM) using Revit for drawing production. Candidate will also be able create specifications, facilitate discipline coordination between the various trades, provide shop drawing and submittal reviews, construction site reviews, and code reviews for MEP systems for various projects. Candidates will also have the skills to provide the technical writing support and cost preparation in response to RFP’s and manage the preparation of the overall proposal for large and small public agencies. Participating in client presentations would be expected as well. Candidates must be professionally licensed in New York State. NCEES accreditation a plus.

The projected range for this position is $150,000-$205,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
