Dewberry is seeking an experienced Senior Site/Civil Project Manager for our Richmond, VA office. This is an opportunity to lead impactful site/civil design projects within the higher education, public sector and institutional markets, influence strategic growth, and help shape a high‑performing team serving public‑sector clients. Responsibilities

Project & Technical Leadership 

  • Lead teams in all aspects of site/civil design including site layout and planning, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sediment control, utilities, roadways, and permitting 
  • Manage the design and delivery of multiple, concurrent projects 
  • Ensure project quality, schedule, and budget expectations are met.

Client Engagement & Business Development 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and agency staff 
  • Participate in public and construction meetings as needed 
  • Support business development, marketing efforts, and proposal preparation 

Team Development 

  • Oversee, mentor, and train junior and mid‑level team members 
  • Help foster a collaborative, learning‑focused team culture 

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field 
  • Minimum 8 years of directly related experience
  • Virginia Professional Engineer (PE) license required 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater modeling software, and Microsoft Office 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project assignments concurrently 
  • Desire to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment 
  • Experience working with clients and maintaining project budgets and schedules
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and guidance to design staff
