Job Description

Our Dewberry New York, NY office is seeking an Electrical Staff Engineer with 3+ years of experience in the design of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, emergency and standby power systems, interior and exterior lighting systems, fire alarm systems, and associated electrical infrastructure for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare electrical engineering calculations, code analysis, reports, schematic and construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
  • Serve as the Electrical Staff Engineer of assigned projects and execute designs with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections of electrical systems.
  • Perform power analysis such as load flow, voltage drop, short circuit studies, Arc Flash studies, etc.

Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years direct experience in related electrical engineering design.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and good working knowledge of Revit, MS Office, etc.
  • Proficiency in SKM Power Tools and Visual Lighting software.
  • Electrical Engineer who has passed the FE Exam
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.

Salary Range

The projected range for this position is $90,000- $100,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NY only.
